Nathan Dain
Science Fiction and Fantasy have been loves of mine for as long as I can remember. That element of playing with places of make-believe and living within them for just a short while has driven me since childhood. Delving into a thought experiment, be it technological or magical, and drawing it out to its logical conclusion has become my passion.
I'm a self proclaimed nerd. Even through the 16 years of working construction as a finish carpenter in multi-million dollar homes, I was the only one on a job reading a novel during my lunch break. (Construction is dominated by manly-men that like big trucks, guns, and scantly clad women. Reading isn't a typical pastime.) While this in itself doesn't qualify as "nerd," the years of playing Dungeons & Dragons and watching Star Trek probably does.
Raised in Southern California, I'm currently living (for reasons I'm still not completely sure of) in the ridiculously hot (at least for 3 months a year) Nevada Desert.

And now for the obligatory photo of me, sitting in front of a fireplace, shortly after giving up on hair for a while:
